“I have worked alongside Ross for over two years in total both at Heart of Midlothian and Livingston FC. He is a very enthusiastic, hard working goalkeeping coach who brings new ideas to training and is always looking to broaden his knowledge of the position. The relationship between a goalkeeper and his coach is so important. Ross and I have a great relationship as he is a very approachable and friendly person. He understands the needs and training demands of every individual and every age group. This was important to me at this stage in my career which I appreciated a lot.”

“While at Livingston, I formed a great relationship with Ross as my Goalkeeping Coach. His coaching ability, knowledge and experience benefited me every week, resulting in us winning the league together. Ross was always aware of the manager’s style of play and tried to improve qualities in my game to suit the manager’s ideas. Coming from Rangers on loan, it was hugely beneficial to have a coach of Ross’ quality and standard which paid off when I was rewarded with a new contract at Rangers. I will always be thankful for the time, effort and detail Ross put into his work with me that season and would love the opportunity to work together again in the future.

" I had contacted Ross when I was made aware that my kicking was not up to the standards that was required. He took me for 121 session with them based on my kicking technique as well as brushing up my other goalkeeping aspects. I soon joined Savehands Goalkeeping Academy not long after I started my 121s It was soon Evident that Ross had great knowledge, and he could covey his points to me very clearly , making it easier for me to pick them up and to progress. He was is also very open to discussion making it easier to ask questions and making everything that he coaches very easy to understand."

“I worked with for one season at Albion Rovers and I am very grateful that he has given me the chance to play my debut season and to get 39 1st team appearances under my belt and my 1st call up to Scotland under 21s. I have grown and learned a lot in that season and Ross had worked very hard on the training pitch. He also put in extra one to ones coaching time with as well to give me that extra bit of training which helped me have the successful season that I had, We worked on a variety of stuff and made sure we got in as many different parts and aspects of the game as we could in a very short space of time"

“Ross has coached me for almost 4 years now at the Heart of Midlothian Academy, he has progressed me through from U14 to become a professional goalkeeper, a growth which I can attribute largely to him, of course with the help of other top coaches as well. He has been relentless in training me every week, placing high demands, setting standards and devising sessions that at times can be tough but have transformed me from an average boys club player into an international who is about to start his career.”

"I’ve worked with Ross in a professional capacity for over 2 seasons at Albion Rovers. I no doubt he improved my ability as a goalkeeper. There were certain flaws in my game that he recognised early and worked with me to improve. What I most appreciated about Ross was that his training was enjoyable but also extremely worthwhile and beneficial with a competitive and hardworking edge
He played a major role in my performances in a title winning season with Albion Rovers which also seen myself picking up 2 of the club’s player of the year awards and an Albion Rovers record of 16 clean sheets!" |

"Can't thank Ross enough for helping me develop over the last 6 months I worked with him at Livingston FC. I really enjoyed his sessions, which were fun but also physical and technical, which is needed to meet the high demands of being a professional goalkeeper. The intense sessions helped me on a match day to perform at the level that is required week in week out.' |

"Ross is in an inspirational goalkeeper coach whose attention to details will help improve even the very best. He will stop at nothing until his GKs reach their full potential. The Savehands GK summer camp that I attended was both intense and fun with a great team of goalkeeper coaches that readily passed on their wisdom of the game. I did various 121s and worked in the Performance hub in my preparation for the Under 17s 2019 World Cup in Brazil"

This is my 3rd season working with Ross. Having been short on actual 1 to 1 Goalkeeping training, Ross was able to help my overall game and has had a big part of where I’ve gotten too at this current time. He is a very approachable guy and easy to work and get along with and is always there to offer his help/advice when needed.

"I 1st came across Ross during a Pre pre season he did and from those sessions , Ross took me into Livingston where I signed a 2 year deal . Ross is a very professional coach with an impressive cv and a very high footballing IQ. Always created fun goalkeeping sessions that most importantly had a match related purpose behind them, having worked with some top coaches in my time Ross is for me right at the top of that list"

I have done various 121 sessions with Ross over the past few years in preparation for pre season and games. He is very understanding and knows exactly what I need, whilst giving me important attention to detail in my feedback
I would highly recommend Ross and Savehands Goalkeeping |

I trained with Savehands Goalkeeping when I first arrived in Scotland. They helped me come back from injury and ready to go for the new season. I had a great experience with them and while in Scotland always go to them for pre season and occasional private sessions during the season. I have worked with Ross in private sessions and also in a professional club environment, he's a top coach always looking to improve the goalkeeper he works with!
I had the pleasure to help out with a session at their summer residential camp, the amount of information and the platform they give the kids to learn is impressive. |

I worked with Ross during my spell at Queens. I really enjoyed my time working with Ross day in day out. I feel that he really helped me and supported me hugely in getting me back to full fitness as I had just come back from an injury. As well as being a great coach that really knows his stuff, he is also a great guy to be around and work with!

"Ross have given me the opportunity to develop myself in a very special way. I'm a Dutch goalkeeper and i was used to the Dutch training way. Now that I trained with Ross I think his way is the best to learn the most essential things of goalkeeping, which are coaching, flexibility, footwork, explosively and all match related. I feel since my 2 weeks working every day with Ross I am more an effective goalkeeper. I really enjoyed his trainings and coaching methods and I hope to see and work with Ross again soon!" |

I met Ross in 2016 when I first signed with Livingston, Ross straight away worked on improving my game and adapted training schedules that is still helping me to this day. He improved my game and was always on hand to give advice and nothing was to much trouble. I wouldn’t have received new contracts within the professional game without his help.
