Parent & Goalkeeper Testimonials
“TLAP has engaged with SGK over the past 18 months at Toryglen in Glasgow. They have provided top class goalkeeping sessions for all of our GKs and we have noticed a significant improvement all round in all of them. I would without doubt recommend SGK to develop the GKs at your club or indeed your son.”
“Ruaridh has been part of the Savehands family since 2023, attending weekly 1-to-1 sessions and the annual summer camps plus also part of the performance hub. It’s been amazing to watch his confidence grow as he’s thrives to be no1 for his present and past club and now competes in a challenging league, while continuing to learn and improve. He has built a fantastic bond with all the coaches and always leaves with a smile, even after the toughest sessions! As a parent, seeing his progress, happiness and passion for goalkeeping means everything. I’m incredibly grateful to Ross and the entire Savehands team for their support, encouragement and for being such a special part of Ruaridh’s journey.”
“My son Luke has been going to Savehands for blocks of one-to-one sessions for around a year. It has really supported him in the transition to 11 a sides. He gets to work with different coaches in a really supportive environment. Whenever there is something to work on from his weekend game he is able to ask for support on that area. The sessions are varied and high intensity, but with plenty of variety. The coaches provide lots of feedback during sessions and are brilliant at striking the balance between having demanding drills but keeping it fun and engaging for school age kids. I strongly recommend the academy to any young goalkeeper.”
“The team at Savehands have been working with our U12s & U10 GKs for 6 months now. The girls love it when the GK coach is at training. Gerry in particular is a favourite because he makes it fun and has a laugh with them. The development of the girls is noticeable, with their match performance getting better and better. As well as their confidence to dive & come off their line to use their feet. SGK are accommodating if we need to switch dates or times which helps us combat the Scottish weather.”
“I started training with Savehands Goalkeeping Academy in January 2026. I have always enjoyed my weekly 121 training with Louis, Ryan and Gerry. Every session has been hard but fun. They have helped me become more confident as a goalkeeper and I really look forward to progressing even more in the future.”
“It’s not often fathers and sons can enjoy a shared experience with an icon and have so many new ideas to discuss in the car ride home. Helped us strengthen why we are both goalkeepers and why we love seeing the benefits of hard work and constant learning and improvement.”
“My experience with SGK has been great. I’ve improved my goalkeeping skills, grown in confidence and really enjoyed the support I’ve received.”
“Reggie loved the session with Eric Steele. He really enjoyed Eric’s coaching and getting to do some analysis before training. Thank you Ross and the SGK Team for organising!”
“A proper coaching structure for goalkeepers of all ages trained by top quality coaches. I have noticed a big improvement within weeks of attending Savehands Goalkeeping Academy. I have been taking my son there for 5 years and would highly recommend it.”
“Ross and his team have been instrumental in developing both the technical and mental side of goalkeeping for my 14 year old son over the past 3 years. All whilst having lots of laughs and making new goalkeeping mates. My son loves the training sessions.”
“Savehands Goalkeeping has made massive improvements to my son's ability as a goalkeeper. He is now first choice for his team and playing really well every week — that's all because of the excellent training he receives from the coaches at Savehands.”
